2nd Rating... Been taking this protein suppl. for about 2.5 months now. Chocolate and Vanilla are the best tasting. Strawberry is good too. The new "cookies & cream" is OK too, but I liked the choco or van. flavors a bit better.
As far as muscle growth goes, I'm putting on some muscle-can tell that's happening especially in the arms. It's hard to judge gaining weight because I'm also loosing fat so I'm hovering around about the same weight for the past 3 months. Probably the best part being is that I don't have to eat more in order to get the protein intake I need to bulk up on muscle. For those trying to trim off fat and wanting to bulk up, you need protein and ON's 100% Whey Protein can certainly provide for the extra protein at a very good price. Whether or not I would have gained the same amount of muscle with just eating more remains to be seen. However, I don't want to eat more and take in more fat in the process. 100% Whey makes it so I don't have to do that.
I've been taking about 3 servings a day of ON's 100% Whey with decent results. Probably if I took in more, it may help me to bulk up faster. Perhaps in the future I'll test to see what that does. If you're on a body building regimen, be sure to take a Glucosamine Chondroitin supplement for your joints so they heal efficiently after strenuous exercise. And don't forget your vitamins either. Everytime I forget the vitamins, I notice a lower energy level which impacts effective exercise.

This is definitely a solid performer. Easily the best bang for the buck. This protein gives results as good if not better than other top brands I've tried. Taste is above average. Also, this has been the only protein I can blend several severings of, store in the refrigerator and use for up to 5 days without settling. A big plus if you're trying to get more protein in your diet with convenience.

Okay, I always read these overstated reviews "I gained 40 pounds in 15 minutes!!" or something ridiculous like that, that I never buy into, but this stuff really has done wonders for me. Just about 3 weeks ago, I started out at 155.5 lbs. As we speak I weigh in at 166! Granted, I have been eating an ENORMOUS amount these last 3 weeks, but this shows that coupled with good eating habits, this stuff really does work. The chocolate tastes great and stays mixed very well. I really recommend this stuff!

This protein supplement is way better than any of the others I have tried (Designer Whey...urrghhhh! In all flavours and the Myoplex is barely drinkable). It also mixes well (I put it in a drinks container with no-fat milk and a couple of ice cubes, shake it and then take it to work and drink it there. No bits!) For a special treat I mix it with chocolate ice cream (low fat), deeelicious. High protein content and

You always hear about taste when it comes to mixable protein. Well optimum's 100% whey taste good, mixes well and is a great value. People, there is no "great" tasting protein out there...you would have to make it unhealthy. For years we have mixed and chewed protein products awaiting that miracle flavor...and in my opinion, Optimum is the best
out there. As a serving suggestion, add 1% milk instead of water. This adds to the flavor, boosts the protein content and helps up the calories.

As a protein, it holds its own. Not only does is match or beat most other products in terms of price-per-gram of protein, it also has a low fat content and cholesterol content, which is good if you're taking it upwards of twice a day, in addition to your standard diet.
And I have to agree with the adding it to %1 milk comment. That is, in my opinion, the best way to go about it. Also, you may want to invest in an immersion blender for maximum mixing and some added creamyness.

I recently ordered this product after having used the Designer Whey protein from Next. This product is less expensive and there is more protein per unit volume to boot. Also it mixes much better. The taste is decent. The Designer Whey chocolate was much better tasting.

I've taken a lot of protein powders in my day, but in my opinion, this is the best tasting protein I've ever tried. 23grams per serving is better than most, if not all other powders and it's at a great price. What's not to like here?

I started using this yesterday. the taste (Vanilla Ice Cream) taste just like TechX, its like drinking pure cardboard.
But I heard and belive the chocolate is the one to go with.
This stuff is not exspensive and my favorite part about it is the Anmino Acids.
These things work great, I was sore yesterday from working out for next years football season and it really has gotten rid of those muscle pains you get.
Recommended.
I'm also going to try *Nitro-Tech* and Hydroxycut to really get ripped.

Nearly through with my first 5 lb. lot. The taste is good and if you have been using something else, you will grow to like this. It mixes better than any other product I have tried. Mixing with a blend of water and 2% milk makes the best drink. It is also good in yogurt with raspberries. mmmmmm! A great deal here! order now! I'm getting my 2nd batch!

I purchased the 5 lb Vanilla Ice Cream and absolutely love it! It is definately one of my favorite powders on the market. This product mixes great with a spoon into milk and is great in smoothies as well. The low price and great taste make this product hard to beat.

Vanilla has a good smooth taste. Chocolate tastes like chocolate so it's sweet like it should be. These flavors are best when mixed with milk and are not over powering. If mixed with water they taste diluted, but palatable. Much better taste than the soy protein powder I once bought. Vanilla dissolves better in cold milk than the chocolate flavor. Both equally good.

This is by far the best protein mix I have tried. It mixes easily with skim milk. I use the "cyclone diet" mixer and make enough for the entire week. It doesn't settle and the taste is great. It far exceeds my expectation of drink mixes. I won't be trying other brands any longer.

I have tried both the chocolate and vanilla flavors which are both excellent, but the chocolate barely edges out the vanilla as my favorite of the two. I prefer mixing this product with milk for a creamier shake. Overall, a MUST have!

Been using for about a year. Seen good gains with a combination of creatine. Just rec'd the cookies and cream. It tastes absolutely terrible. I tried mixing it with my chocolate and it still tastes awful. I'd rather drink some of the stuff you'd see on Fear Factor.

Very easy to mix in water or skim milk without a blender. I mix it in my morning steel cut oats and also my yogurt with very good results. A wicked easy way to suck up alot of extra protein to build those muscles. Infinitely better than a soy product.

This powder's ability to blend in a shaker cup is superior over every other brand I have tried. Also, it does not even taste bad when mixed only with water, which is helpful for those times when you don't want the suger from milk (milk has about 11 grams of suger per 8oz. serving). I would recommend this to anyone who uses whey protein powders.

Excellent product. I use this as meal replacements while at work. Chocolate is fantastic. Vanilla and strawberry are good as well. I mix with ice cold water in a shaker. Don't have to choke it down as with other powders.

I have been taking this mixed with soy milk and sometimes water. I love the tatse and the effects it has done to me. I lift every day and take this 4 times a day. I highly suggest this for any one needing the extra protein in their diet and for rebuilding muscle tissue.

Great product. I never really bought into how much proper nutrition had to do with gaining the right muscle, which was why I was plateaud at 195 pounds for probably 2 years while pounding hard on the weights. I finally started eating 5-6 substantial meals a day (about 2 or 3 coming from ON 100% whey) and I jumped up to 225 pounds in about 2 months. Now, I know not every single pound of that was muscle, but it sure looked like it in the mirror.
In any regard, I've done all the calculating of cost and grams per serving/servings per container, etc... and Optimum Nutrition's 100% whey (especially at the 5 lb level) is the best deal you will find on quality protein, hands down. This stuff is great quality, with decidedly better taste than anything else I've tried, and is ironically the best priced I've found. Regardless of the level of your weight training, I think this protein is the way to go.

If you are smart about bulking up, you will take whey protein along with a strenous excercise regimen. This certainly is probably the cheapest and best whey protein product available. Highest percentage of protein per gram, tastes great. Be sure to buy vanilla; you get the most servings, and it mixes well with anything. Tastes great blended with peanut butter or orange juice like a creamsicle. ON Whey definately the best, dont get fooled into buying muscletech products.

I am finishing my first 2 lb tub of the Vanilla Ice Cream flavor and I really like it. I throw it in a blender with ice cubes, a little orange juice, non-fat milk, strawberries, and pineapple pieces and all I can say is "Wow!" It tastes great and is not "chalky." I've getting good gains in my arms too.

Great! Tastes amazing if you make it right. Great gains and energy. Recovery is great right after an intense work out. The reason people say it's bad is cause they don't knbow how to make it right and they don't take it right either. Follow what it says and you'll be great. I think if I took it more I would have greater gains. for now 4.5

I don’t know how many other products these guys have tried before this one, but their taste buds are off. I decided to try this product because of all the great reviews I have read. I purchased the Double Chocolate 100% Whey Gold Standard. Not sure if I can finish all 5 lbs to determine it’s effectiveness. Worst tasting crap I have had to make myself swallow (6 times a day!).

I have been using ON Whey for a year and half and cannot survive without it. Not only do I manage to get more tonned with it, it controls my hunger too. On the days when i forget to have it, for whatever reason, I am unable to control my hunger and end up gorging on garbage. Definitely not what one needs when working out. And like all the others have said, this stuff tastes way (whey;) better than other brands. Chocolates my fav, and you get a bit more protein out of it.

I started weightlifting using this product and have since been making substantial gains in my weight program. Take note that anybody can put on muscle using *any* kind of whey protein. If you train correctly and take in at least one gram of protein per day, you are guaranteed for success, so don't be set back by a bad review of a protein product, because any protein will work when used correctly.

This stuff is complete crap. It has a plastic after taste and is cheap for a reason. To rate this product one star is far too high. Ive read all the other reviews that say I mixed it with berrys and fruit..... I sure if you mix all that stuff in dog poo , the poo would taste good too. I do agree with the other review that said that all protein mixes are nasty, but I disagree with saying that this is the best yet. Muscle Milk is good, but has too much fat.

Very disappointed with ON as a company lately. If anyone has info as to why this company has horrible customer service? No responses to questions? no more samples in the mail used to request and get some every month, no more optimum magazine that was delivered quarterly, and the 100% whey vanilla and punch flavors have been horrible, taste and mixing wise. I have givin up on ON and will take my biz elsewhere, even if it means payimng more money for products.
