I'm 54 and a former world ranked athelete and closet body builder. I'm 6'5" tall and at my peak, I was 340 lbs of solid, cut muscle. In a period of 42 months I went from that weight to 129 pounds and was hospice with stage three cancer and AIDS, that was the summer of 1996. At that time the new AIDS cocktail came out and I did a 180 degree turn in just several days...a miricle! Fast forward to 2002 and I was 1000% better and healthy and working out about 1-2 times a week then at 240 and 20% body fat and looked respectable, but not the way I wanted to look if I was going to live a bunch more years. By the way, I've always looked much younger. In the late fall of 2002/early 2003, under the supervision of my son, he introduced me to IsoPure and greatly modified my diet. I went from 3 fairly healthy meals a day to 5-6 mini meals all high in protein. He made sure that at 240 I was drinking about a gallon of water a day and taking in 300 grams of protein a day and began to do cardio four times a week as well as do weight training three times. He suggested to a family friend that I mentored in his youth who later became a former Mr. Teenage America bodybuilder and is now a chiropractor to take me on any ensure I worked out and trained properly and keep my spine properly adjusted. He was excited to take me on. In that time, all the while doing my two IsoPure Creamy Vanilla shakes a day and eating properly I began to shape up and reimvent my metobolism and reshape my body. My son is a former bodybuilder and Milan/New York Runway Model had been a hard core IronMan participant since his teens and suggested to contrast my journey from hospice to health that I begin training with him to "try" a small triatholon and that he would particpate with me, at my speed. IsoPure was with me all the way as was my trainer/chiropractor friend and in late August of 2003 I completed my first 1/2 triatholon in Canada and finished in the top fifth. I swam 1.2 miles, cycled 56 miles and ran 13.1 miles, all in 5:05:31. Thanks to IsoPure, a proper diet that was designed to met my needs and true self, good training form a great deal of support from my son and friend and some good ole fashion "can do" determination from myself, I sucessfully succeeded in "reclaiming and contrasting" my life from death's door to the finish line. As I sit here and write this today, Mother's Day (May, 2004), I am 208 lbs and 6.5% body fat and cut and lean. I have a true 6 pack and my build is not that of a bulky gym bunny (been there, done that), but a tall lean, long muscle toned body. I still swam 4 miles a week and workout 3 times a week for no more than an hour or so each time. I eat what I want and what I want is good and smart food. Food has never been a reward for me, it's fuel, but nothing is wrong with it being good for me. I am doing quite well with my ongoing care and my head is at peace with life. IsoPure is a part of my daily diet both before as well as after my workouts (after workout I do 1 scoop and add in some Carboplex). I'm not saying that IsoPure is the answer to a better life, that only comes from within, but it was part of the essential foundation of building me back to good health and well being.

There are 100's of good products out there and after trying many of them I found that IsoPure was just right for me.

I buy the 7.5 lb containers of Creamy Vanilla and mix two scoops with 16 oz of cool water and a couple cubes of ice in a blender and drink it straight away. Sometimes I add some Vanilla or Almomd extract for flavor. Even Kaluaha or some chocolate power works great too for a change of flavor.

Guys, if you are looking for a great product that is flexable and dependable...IsoPure is the way to go.

My sincere best to you all and good training.

As a gastric bypass patient needing lots of protein in order to heal and keep my hair from falling out, this is by far the best protein supplement I've tried. I tried the isopure pre-mixed bottles of apple melon and several other powders, but could not even get them down. I mix two scoops of the creamy vanilla with 5 oz of soy milk (darn lactose intolerance) in a shaker cup, then pour it into the blender over about a cup of ice and two pieces (about 2 inches each) of frozen banana and add about two tablespoons of either hazelnut or caramel coffee syrup for flavor. It is very good. The frozen banana makes it thicker and creamier than it would be with a fresh banana or just ice and it is delicious. I never thought I'd say that about a protein supplement! It seems to mix better if you shake it up before putting it into the blender. I can't wait to try the strawberries and cream and the other flavors! I do wish they would offer smaller amounts to try, like maybe the individual packets so that you could try a flavor before buying large quantities. I have too many other 3 pound containers of different powders that I'll never use because they're undrinkable.

I'm a serious weightlifter, usually fitting in 6 workouts per week, and I've found that this protein powder has given me great results. It is not a miracle formula, and there is no replacement for hard work, but it has helped me consume the protein that I need and I have also noticed faster recovery times than before I began taking this powder. I have tried other powders, but what has drawn me back to Isopure every time is the nutritional values. Low in cholesterol, zero fat and zero carbs, this is a healthy choice that helps you get to your target bodyfat composition. The taste is not bad, and it's even better if you mix it with 8 oz. of skim milk instead of water. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a solid protein powder with no gimmicks.

This stuff is GREAT!!! Not only does it takes terrific, but the texture is very smooth, not chalky. I especially like being able to take it at night to aid in recovery without worrying about late night carb intake. At, 50g of protein per serving, you can easily attain the goal of 1.5-2 grams of protein per pound of body weight.

wow. Best tasting protein powder I have ever had. Mixes extremely easily with a spoon, and has a very smooth texture. Great price on this site, too.

Honestly, the worst tasting substance I have ever consumed by choice. I love the 50g protein, but chuggin' it down just ain't worth it.

I thought this stuff was great. One of the best I've tried. In my opinion it's much better than Designer and Cytopro when it comes to the vanilla flavors. It mixes smooth and doesn't have that typical protein smell to it.

This stuff is amazing. The zero carbs gives me the freedom to mix it with 12 oz. of fat-free plain yogurt instead of water to get a whopping 66 grams of protien per serving! It only gets 4 stars because it could stand to mix a little thicker.

Best I have tried. Love all the extra vitamins and minerals. None of that powdery taste.

Nature's best is the best! Tastes great for a protein powder and mixes easily w/ a spoon. Advantagesupplements.com has an awesome price too.

Fairly tasty, dissolves easily (just mix in water while adding), no side effects, inexpensive. And, NO carbs! Great for no-carb breakfast. Good for a bed-time protein (however, is fast-metabolizing).

I have tried tons of whey protein powders and Isopure, by far, is my favorite! Mix two scoops with 12oz of skim milk and it tastes like strawberry nestle quick!

The best protein by far very good for young athletes easy on the stomach and not a bad tasting product at all.

The other flavors may be better, but the alpine punch is very hard to get down. I've tried the pre-mixed in a bottle isopure and it's very good.

NOTE: The following review is for Apple Melon flavor.

I am a huge fan of Isopure apple melon when it comes in a bottle. In powder form is a whole different story. This stuff is horrible. It froth's up so badly you end up drinking all foam. Tastes gross and smells almost as bad as it tastes. Save your money and buy this stuff only in the bottle.

An excellent, fair priced, great tasting, high quality protein that is ideal for all bodybuilders and athletes. Includes glutamine and BCAA's in each serving. Chocolate is my favorite flavor.

well, i use isopure for 3 months, the product great but the tastes not so good enough - the vanilla very bad, pinapple orange bannana - bad too, the strawberry - is good and the alpine punch - good too.

When first trying this, it didn't taste very good. However, when this is mixed with arctic green apple koolaid it almost tastes like the isopure in a bottle. Good to take while in the gym. There is some chalkiness but it still tastes a lot better than most of those protein shakes out there.

I would have to agree with the write ups on the Apple melon. This stuff is really horrible to the point you can barely keep it down. Maybe if I started with a different flavor, I would have a different opinion about Isopure but unfortunately I’m not going to give them another try.
